“Reflecting, releasing, and beginning again.”
As the year draws to a close, we naturally begin to reflect. I’m not sure about you, but for me some memories feel sweet, others heavy. Nostalgia can bring odd combinations of tears and laughter, or you just don’t know what to feel! Some days are as mixed-matched as salted caramel, sweet pickles, or bacon and maple syrup! Speaking of reaching for sweets when I’m feeling “off”, often times the weight we carry isn’t just in our minds but it’s in our bodies in response to stress, anxiety, and emotions.
For many women, this year may have held nagging weight gain, the unsettling changes of perimenopause, or lingering health concerns that never quite felt resolved. It’s easy to carry these struggles like unfinished business.
However, closure doesn’t mean everything is “fixed.” Closure means acknowledging what has been and choosing to step into the next chapter with intention. It’s saying: This season was real, and life was life-ing, but it doesn’t get to define the rest of my story.
As we close 2025, I invite you to release the judgment and shame you may have wrapped around your body. Then, set an intention, not for perfection, but for partnership with your health in the year to come. It’s time to bring closure to this constant “I need to lose weight” cycle.
At MLB our philosophy is Keep it simple. Keep it doable. Keep it loving. If you’re ready to start fresh, schedule your weight management appointment with My Lady Business today. Don’t wait until January. Close the year with a bang! Together, we’ll leave the old struggles behind and walk into 2026 with clarity, strength, and a plan tailored just for you.
