“At first I was afraid. I was petrified…but I ‘ve got all my life to live. I’ve got all my love to give. I will survive. I will survive.” Donna Summer
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and for many women, it brings important questions especially about hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
For years, women were told to fear hormone therapy. Many suffered through fatigue, weight gain, brain fog, mood changes, and poor sleep because they believed hormones were unsafe. These fears were largely based on older studies that have since been re-examined and clarified.
Today, we have better science and better understanding.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has updated safety labeling on certain forms of low-dose hormone therapy, removing older boxed warnings where evidence shows minimal risk. This reflects what many hormone specialists have known for years: when prescribed appropriately and personalized to the patient, hormone therapy can be safe and life-changing.
Hormone balance is not just about symptom relief. It supports your brain, bones, metabolism, heart, and overall quality of life.
Breast cancer awareness is about being proactive not fearful. It means staying informed, getting recommended screenings, and working with a knowledgeable provider who understands both the benefits and risks of hormone therapy.

We pass away two times in our lives. Once when we take our last breath and again when our name is uttered for the very last time. Say their names. Talk about them. You are their resurrection.
